Class of 2026
From the first time I sat on a horse, I have felt a strong connection with them. Six years ago I got my first taste at summer camp and fell in love with horses and riding. I immediately started taking lessons and then, eager to dive in more deeply, soon signed up for IEA. Recognizing my commitment and passion, my IEA coach recommended me to another trainer as a working student, with whom I was also able to train lesson ponies, exercise SMU horses, and compete in shows.
Since I began working with Joan and Jim Hensen of Foxglen Farms in January 2023, I have learned a great deal at an accelerated pace, and am confident that my skills will continue to develop exponentially under their excellent leadership. I am eternally grateful to my amazing family and trainers, who have given me the opportunity to show around the country, ride several different types of horses and learn various aspects of horsemanship. My dream is to continue on this path by being a member of a college team, representing my school, and being surrounded by a community of people who share my passion for horses.
